Perdita and her mate, Hraukævi, both found something strange, but also fascinating one day. The male eastern Opexo had found a rock, simple but yet captivating in a way. The tones of the greys and the monotone colours reminded him of Perdita. Meanwhile, the female eastern opexo had found some pink/reddish moss, with tiny mushrooms coming out of it. It reminded her of the red tones that Hraukævi adorns on his scales, wings, horns and the such.
They met up with their findings, discussing about them and even showing it off. Perdita had gotten rather excited about the simple rock, instantly wanting to own it for herself. To Hraukævi’s pleasure, he traded it for the lovely pinkish moss, to whom he seemed to adore.
The following week they visited Lamphia, an area they had always wanted to tour around. Upon arrival, they both felt a sort of gravitational pull towards the market area of Lamphia. They looked at each other, a little confused but also intrigued by this sort of pull they felt. And so they decided to follow it, hand in hand and both carrying the rock and moss they had found and traded.
The more they walked towards the market, the stronger the pull becomes. The couple wasn’t nervous, however, as they’re both warriors - in a way. Fear wasn’t lingering from within them either. Instead, they just found a small, somewhat hidden shop from the market, with a cheery yet mysterious looking owner.
“Ahhh, hello to the lovely couple! I see you’ve been captivated by my quaint shop.” The owner grinned, gesturing to his shop. “I’m more than certain that this means you’re interested in giving me some goodies to strengthen your bond, am I correct?”
Perdita and Hraukævi turned to look at each other in curiosity, but didn’t say a word. Instead. The female Opexo nodded her head. “Yes… perhaps that would be an interesting thing to do.”
The shop owner‘a grin widened. “Excellent… have you obtained some items, say a rock and some moss? And to go with it, I’d love a small piece of your gems if possible.”
Hraukævi seemed a little skeptical about the idea of giving a piece of his gem, but didn’t seem against it. It sounded as if they’d get something in return after giving the items.
With no hesitation, the couple found their rock and moss, before they each decided to clip out a piece of either their horn or nails, containing their gems. They passed it along to the shop owner, who thanked them greatly.
Now. It was time to wait to see what would happen next…
