Finding the rock:
It was a warm and rainy day, but that didn’t stop this unusual couple to go for a stroll near a river in the forests. Hand in hand, the two spoke amongst themselves about their life plans, ever since they had gone through their semi-binding ritual.
“So… what do you think is next? Children?” Vidar questioned out loud, his gaze turning towards the river as they walked forward, enjoying the view of the rain drops falling onto their fur, into the river and their surroundings. He was almost scared to look at Yrsa, because he wasn’t even sure if she wanted children to begin with.
The eastern female’s ears perked upon hearing the question, almost freezing in place. Instead, she kept on walking forward, squeezing her mate’s hand gently. “W-well… maybe-“
Yrsa was soon cut off by a sudden outburst from her mate. “Oh, oh, oh!! Yrsa look, what a pretty rock!” He let go of her hand and ran towards the edge of the waters, picking up a reddish/orange rock from the soil. He ran back up to his mate, holding it in his hand. “Look how gorgeous this is! Could add this to my treasured collection!”
The eastern female looked completely unimpressed, crossing her arms and shaking her head. But, a smile was adorned on her face regardless. “You’re so silly… but I love you. Yes, it’s pretty. We can take it home.”
Finding the moss:
That very same day, whilst on the way back to their home, they were walking near this fairly large and tall tree, surrounded by fallen leaves, grass, and… some other weird, orange looking thing. It had caught Yrsa’s attention the most, curiosity kicking in the athletic female. She approached it, crouching down and letting her hand graze upon the orange surface; soft but almost grassy-like. But it wasn’t grass at all.
“Moss,” she whispered to herself, using both hands to scoop some up. She stood up straight and turned to Vidar. “Look, it looks similar to the rock we just found earlier.”
“Ah yes…. It does.” Vidar pondered for a moment. “Perhaps they both hold some sort of meaning.”
Shrugging, Yrsa placed the Maas into a tissue before gently putting it in her pocket. “All, right now I think it’s time to go home.”
And so the unusual couple finally made their way home with both of the new findings the rock and the moss.
Giving to Augustus:
Yrsa and Vidar had found out information about the rock and moss they had found the other day, thanks to the help of an older woman who lived nearby their findings.
Nestled in the land of Lamphia, stands a shop where a young Opexo collects these findings, along with a piece of the couple’s gems to go with it. No one exactly knows what happens next, but once all of the items are given, you receive something in return. But what, exactly? No one truly knows. No one ever really speaks about this, almost as if it’s a secret of some sort.
Alas, the unique couple had made their journey to Lamphia, items in a satchel carried by Vidar. It had taken them several days, only because a certain tail was about to reach a breaking point of having not drinking mead for the journey. And thus, they had made just a few stops to drink… much to Vidar’s dismay.
Eventually though - thankfully enough to please Yrsa before some anger tore in - they had made it to Lamphia. The true struggle was to find the shop, but they made sure to ask residents or anyone that they met along the way. But weirdly enough… they didn’t need any sort of help.
Because the couple had felt a sort of presence, like someone tugging their binded souls towards something. Someone, perhaps. And they followed.
“Ahh, hello to one happy couple!” A voice echoed as they approached a very nestled shop, a young male waving at them. “I see you’ve made your journey to seek a stronger bond between your two binded souls. Lovely!”
Yrsa and Vidar looked at each other questionably, but didn’t say anything about it. Instead, the eastern female spoke up. “Yes, we did. We’ve brought you gifts: a rock, some moss and a piece of our gems. We hope these will satisfy you.”
Vidar had opened up the satchel and grabbed all of the items that his mate had mentioned. He passed it along to the shop owner, nodding his head.
With a smile on his face, the shop owner took the items in hand. “Wonderful! Now if you just wait a moment…”
Things went quiet from there. Yrsa and Vidar waited to see what would happen next.
